Bonjour everyone! As you all know I went to Paris last month and it was honestly a dream come true. I'm so glad I got to share this experience with my sister...we had an amazing time. I was there for six days and it flew by, I can't wait to go back!
Here's a little guide that I've put together for those visiting Paris for a short trip.
How to spend a few days in Paris:
Tocadera- To get the best views of the Eiffel Tower you must go here. There’s a lot of cafés nearby where you can also catch an amazing view while sipping on coffee or enjoying dinner.
The Louvre- One of the biggest museums ever. This place is a must. It was so huge and so beautiful inside and out. We spent about 2 hours in there and didn’t even get to cover half of it. This is where you will find the most popular, Mona Lisa painting as well as so many other beautiful art pieces.
Notre-Dame- Seeing the Cathedral was bringing back memories of watching The Hunchback of Notre Dame as a kid and felt like I was in a movie. This whole area is really nice and surrounded by cute cafés such as Esmeralda café, Shakespeare café and so many more.
Café hop- There is no shortage of cafés when it comes to Paris. There's plenty of options to choose from so it actually overwhelming picking one. I would seriously go from one place to another...fulfilling all my cafés cravings
See more details below and all the places I went to. Also, sharing packing tips.
How I Packed for a two week trip:
I managed to fit everything in one suite case and no carry on!! I love to travel with way too many options but this time was different as I was limited on space. Let me share a few tips I followed to minimize my luggage.
First thing, plan your outfits before hand. Its so much easier if you just lay out all your outfits and pack only what you need for each one rather than taking extras for options to decide for later. This saves time while on vacation and also space in your suitcase.
Second, take pieces that are versatile like my nude coat that went with everything and I wore so much. Also, a pair of shoes that are comfortable and you can wear with all your outfits. Then, to switch up your day time looks to night time pack a pair of heels that will go with everything. I took one pair of black booties and black pumps. Only take a couple pairs of jeans and just repeat as you can see from my photos I wore the same pair quite a bit . And trust me you will live, I did! This was a huge step for me trying to be super practical with packing.
I feel like for colder weather it’s easier to pack because you don't need 10 different outfits. A key I learned was that you just need a few statement pieces, just one or two coats and style them differently. Each time I tried to accessorize my outfits a little different and switch up my tops under.
