Aloha! I'm back!!
As some of you might know, I went to Hawaii for one of my best friend’s wedding. I was there for a week and it was the best week ever spent. I tried to explore and see as much as I could within that week (there’s literally so much to do and see there)… but I was satisfied with everything I did get to see and do.
And let me just say this for those who think Hawaii is overrated…if you haven’t gone and seen it for yourself, don’t believe that. It’s extremely beautiful and has its own uniqueness…so many breathtaking views and sights, you'll be in awe!
I was in Maui and one of the things I did while I was there was the road to Hana…if you go to Maui, you MUST do this. You will never see anything like this anywhere else, I promise. This is where you will find black sand beaches.
When in Hawaii, you must to go a Luau. I went to the one at Royal Lahaina resort called Myths of Maui. It was very interesting to hear the stories they tell and see all their traditional dances; they ended it with a fire show which was incredible. Overall, a fun experience, so don’t miss out on a Luau.
I also went snorkeling but unfortunately wasn’t able to capture that because I didn’t take my camera with me. If you snorkel, do the snorkeling cruises. The whole trip takes about 5-6 hours of your day but totally worth it…they serve breakfast, lunch and drinks as your cruising through beautiful views. It’s an amazing experience.
See all the details below :)
I wanted to have a couple days to just relax at the beach and it was the best. Maui sun is no joke though, so bring sun block with you! This at the Royal Lahaina Resort.
Lahaina is a beautiful city in Maui and this area is on Front Street, its right next to the ocean and filled with restaurants and shops…such a cute little town. Also, don’t forget to have Hawaiian shaved ice while your there. I’m not a big fan of shaved ice AT ALL…but everyone kept saying Hawaiian shaved ice is different and delicious. They were right, it was different and actually good. I got to pick 3 different flavors in a small cup (yea it wasn't small looking at all, lol) and they top it off with all kinds of stuff, I just went with sprinkled coconut on top.
The wedding was at Olowalu Plantation House such a beautiful venue right by the ocean. It was literally breathtaking. I'm glad I wore a blush pink dress, it was so pretty against the blue ocean hues. All the colors that day were gorgeous I wanted to keep taking taking photos. Dress linked below.
This was on our way to Hana....you will see so many view points, little cafes and shops on your way...so we pretty much stopped to as many places as we could. This cafe had this cute pineapple set up and I had to take a picture since it was matching my nails :D
This was another view point we stopped on our way to Hana...along the way you will see many signs for scenic views and hiking trails...with beautiful waterfalls. They say the point of road to Hana is not just to get to Hana but stopping along the way and exploring waterfalls and scenic views...they're worth the stop.
We made a quick stop here because we saw a sign for fresh coconuts (coconut not pictured here because it was cracked into pieces as soon as I got it, YUM!) But I decided to do ootd photos.
The best way to do road to Hana...RENT A CONVERTIBLE!! If you want to truly get the best experience that’s the way to do it. Cruising through all the breathtaking views with the top down and the weather so fresh...amazing feeling. Can you spot me in the car?
At last, at one of the most beautiful sights ever!! This is the black sand beach…like can you even believe this is real?! I was literally in AWE! These pictures don’t even do justice to how insanely beautiful and breathtaking this place actually is. It’s definitely a place everyone should add to their bucket list. Doing road to Hana and going to black sand beach was THE HIGHLIGHT of my Hawaii trip, hands down!
I’m in love with these pants....I wanted to wear something fun and flowy for the Luau and these pants were perfect for the occasion. I’ll link outfit details below.
Watching sunsets in Hawaii is definitely a thing...they're beautiful.
P.S. I will do separate posts of my other looks I wore in Hawaii...stay tuned for those!
